Communique No. 9
Greetings to all of you. I hope that this year will bring us more prosperity, good health, love and peace to everyone.
•First, I would like to thank each and everyone of you for giving your support for the people of Haiti. Many of our colleagues called my attention and I appreciate your concern. From the very start, I have already in mind that we will extend help to them. Pamet-Texas have already contributed in advance. Even though it’s not that much, remember always that every gesture of help counts. Aside from the money we gave, we also offered mass for them. We hope and pray that they will be able to recover very soon. I was able to contact the American Red Cross. They gave us the details of how to send the money. The American Red Cross is accredited by Better Business Bureau and recommended by CNN for credibility. A receipt of acknowledgement will be given to us for accounting purposes.
•As for our Convention Cruise, our agent, Ms. Annette Avestro sent us a copy of an excel file listing of all the reservations as of February 8, 2010. We hope we will be able to reach or even surpass the 50 cabins that we initially reserved. There are still non pamet members who would like to join the cruise. We need to fill up the required quota. For every 8 cabins, we have one free and its monetary equivalent will go to PAMET-USA. This is one way of infusing fund to our organization. The cost rate per person for this cruise is almost the same when we have our convention in the hotel. Convention cruise is a package deal. Everything is included. The registration for the seminar with 8 hrs credit with certificates ( thanks to all speakers, mostly PAMET members who will give lectures for free) ,the fun night, the gala night, accommodation and the food. Unlike, if we conduct it in the hotel, you have to pay everything. For those who are still planning to come, you still have time to book for your reservation. Join us and let us have fun. We will keep you posted for additional/further information if any.
•CHAPTER FORMATION:
Dan Dominguez and I are busy communicating with Margarita Cruz and Al Ceniza from Seattle, Washington. If you know them personally, please help us in convincing them to form their chapter. Let us join together to work on it. This is a good opportunity for us since we will be going to Seattle for the cruise. Please let us know of your suggestions on how you can be of help on this undertaking. Thanks.
Ms Violy Miszculy, President Pamet-NY was able to introduce Ms Dyna Fulteo, her friend in Poenix, Arizona. We were able to contact her and we will give you further developments as soon as we can get in touch with her again.
•PAMET-NEVADA HAS A NEW PRESIDENT:
Ms FITA LIM is now the President of PAMET-NEVADA. Congratulations to all the newly elected officers. The Induction Program was conducted last January 23, 2010
•NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR PAMET-USA:
Please get involve and serve PAMET-USA by running for any position. Let us create a leadership team to let our organization keep going. Serving our organization is a lot of sacrifice and we commend all those people, who, from the very beginning up to this time are still there, for giving their full support and extending their precious time for a good cause. Our Chairman for Nomination and Election, Ms Jela Ibarra will be sending flyers for your information and further instructions regarding this matter.
•MEMBERSHIP :
Just a reminder to all Chapters… Renewal of membership is fast approaching, so please be ready to pay your dues. Contact our treasurer if you have any queries/questions. Thanks to all of you.
•CHAPTER REPORT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
It’s already 2010. So, I would like to remind each Chapter to be ready for all their accomplished activities report for 2009. You may send it to our PRO, Eugene Eduardo for publication in our newsletter. I received the report of Dan Dominguez, Pres. of No. Cal.. Thank you Dan, for letting us know. I hope that it will serve as an inspiration and motivation for other chapters to follow.
•TREASURER’S REPORT:
Our treasurer, Ms.Belle Ocampo furnished me a copy of her audited financial report ( audited by Ms, Becky Tungol )for the year 2009. A copy will be forwarded to you for your information and guidance.
•We will keep you informed for any further developments and updates regarding the preparation of our convention cruise. We need your “inputs” in order to make this event a successful one.
